Relationship Counselling

Some couples come when considering separation or divorce, whilst others want to reconnect and strengthen their bond.  For these issues and for other relationships, be it friendships or familial, I can help navigate a range of challenges.

  • Communication difficulties and recurring conflict

  • Infidelity, broken trust, and secrecy

  • Parenting challenges and life transitions

  • Intimacy issues, including changes in sexual connection

  • Financial stress or work-life imbalances

  • The impact of neurodivergent traits on individuals and relationships

  • Dynamics within blended or extended families

  • Unresolved trauma or lingering patterns from past relationships

Individual Therapy

People seek therapy for many reasons, from anxiety and life stress to unresolved early experiences, major transitions or difficulties relating. I work with individuals experiencing:

  • Anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem

  • Family and relationship issues

  • Life-stage transitions or crises

  • Grief, loss, or unresolved family dynamics

  • Addiction, compulsive behaviours, or emotional overwhelm

  • Difficulties at work or with finances

  • Identity, belonging, or feeling misunderstood

Getting Started and Session Durations

I offer a free 30-minute introductory session

where we can explore whether my approach and expertise are a good fit for you, and whether we feel we can work together effectively on your concerns.

After this initial meeting, which is usually in-person, we can discuss a session plan, including frequency and timing.  Once our work is underway, I mainly work in-person because I believe this is the best way for clients to make progress.  Sometimes periods of online work are also helpful.

Standard sessions are 50 minutes.  I also have an option for 80-minute sessions for relationship issues, where clients often feel that the extended time better supports their work, and the presence of more than one voice.

Progress tends to come best from weekly sessions, as this consistency tends to support deeper self reflection, which helps create more sustained outcomes.
